Description:

This book chronicles an American family’s voyage around the world on a yacht, the Phoenix. Earle Reynolds was dispatched to the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC), Hiroshima, to research the effects of the atomic bomb on the growth and development of Japanese children. He later took a sabbatical, during which he began preparation for voyaging around the world with his family members and three Hiroshima yachtsmen. They sailed the yacht into U.S. and Russian bomb testing-zones to protest against nuclear testing.
